Excessive Sweating Treatment
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a difficult, and often embarrassing condition which affects many people. People with this condition can produce a large volume of sweat. This means that the affected areas may be constantly damp, making normal activities more difficult to carry out. The condition is caused by excessive stimulation of sweat glands (the eccrine gland).
Those affected by this condition usually find that traditional antiperspirants and deodorants do not keep sweating at bay. If you are suffering from excessive sweating and lifestyle changes are not effective enough our excessive sweating treatment may be the solution.
How does excessive sweating treatment work?
Botulinium toxin injections are used to help control excessive sweating. The injection blocks the nerves that supply the eccrine glands and prevents the glands from producing sweat.
Botox is not a cure for hyperhidrosis as the nerve endings regrow which causes the sweating to return. You will require top up treatments every 3-6 months at Purity but some treatments can last a bit longer.
